2013: Year of the Giveaway
Thanks for the giveaway!
My primary cutting tasks include zip ties, cardboard, envelops, and food. I choose the para2 and dragonfly2 for all of this and am very satisfied, my main attraction to the Dfly2 is its size and ergonomics, and the para2 it was the different steels it allows you to try.
Thanks again for the giveaway, and good luck to all

Thanks for the giveaway!!
Most of my EDC cutting tasks are small jobs like opening envelopes, cutting some tape, office stuff really. I've only got 1 spydie: SE cricket and I'm loving the heck out of it! I use it for everything really XD blade shape has worked fine for everything so far! Looking to get a bigger spydie soon though, just haven't decided on what yet...been looking at the delica so this giveaway is perfect! haha

This is a great giveaway! Thanks!
My primary cutting tasks change with the season. In the spring summer and fall my job keeps me outside a lot and I might be cutting saplings, cutting cordage, breaking down boxes of supplies, or making stakes to mark a survey unit....or I might use my knife to free rope from a boat or pick out a horse hoof.... I get a bit more sendentery in the winter. My knife gets relegated to boxes and mail mostly...but cordage gets cut and the occasional job requires some heavy cutting. That being said I'm less worried about blade geometry, and more worried about size and design. Cordage I want something serrated like my se ladybug or byrd hawkbill, I might even take out the tasman salt, but that has a pe blade. Boxes, I've got the hawkbills again, or maybe a delica or similar sized knife. Self defense? While i've never been in that situation the wave stands out to me...my waved delica will eat anything that tries to hurt me or mine. Bigger tasks like stake cutting or saplings I might choose a large folder like the manix, or a fixed blade. And if I really need to chop wood, or even baton I go for a fixed blade (anything from a little izula to my ka-bar cutlass). Just depends...I'll also carry some things just cause I like to carry them.
I will say I like ffg blades but that is less important to me than the other qualities of a knife.

First let me thank you for the opportunity,
My primary cutting tasks are many that include basic at home such as boxes, packages etc for that I've been using my Techno and I'm in love with this little knife, the blade is soo sharp, and the size is managable.
At work I've been known to cut everything in the construction field, wood, plastic, straps, rope, and other stuff I've been using my PS Police It works well because of the blade length

Spyderco squeak seems to get the most pocket time as I carry it at work. It's good because its not very threatening. I think a green delica 4 would fit the same category lol. N690Co seems like a good steel. I'm still learning to sharpen (aren't we all) and it was this blade that I finally managed to get a nice edge on. It's also the one that needed it most because like I said, it gets the most pocket time.
But yeah, like most of us I use it to break down boxes as I work in an office and I'm constantly resupplying stock. Cardboard is not to be trusted!!!

Hey!! This is very generous of you! i currently have a Spyderco native serrated, and i love it, but, it tends to sit in the box where i keep my knives cause the blade isn't the shape i need. I generally use my dragonfly2 for cutting boxes, food prep, camping, backpacking, opening mail, whittling, opening boxes, fine trimming of paper, pretty much everything the blade can handle. i love the FFG so thought i'd enter. thanks so much, Jake
