Historic Day at Spyderco!
Great work
Sal
That looks even better than I imagined when you told us about it when you were in Leeds. Your tenacity has won through again. It still amazes me that the authorities made it so hard for you to show the pride you have in your country.
There should be more people allowed to exhibit such pride.
Regards, Ken

That looks WONDERFUL! I dont understand why the City of Golden would give so much trouble for showing the American flag but Persistance pays off and looks great!
Thank you for sharing the photos, now more than ever I need to get up to the factory for a visit....something I have been wanting to do for years and I only live 20 min away

Very Cool!
It is nice to see yet another way that Spyderco supports out troops.

That is a little bit of an understatement, there have been times I have been driving from Golden to Boulder and I thought I was going to end up in Kansas. :Dsal wrote:...have a custom "high wind" pole made and installed....

Golden is a great city and we have a great city government. They were just trying to do a good job and interpret the laws properly. They ended up adjusting the law in our favor.cougar337 wrote: That looks WONDERFUL! This is freaking awesome. I love the fact that it's so darn huge. Great job Spyderco crew! God Bless America too.
Thanks Kristi for sharing with us. And also.....what's up with the dude floating beside the bricks in the picture with Sal?
Kinda neat, yet weird. :)
It shows a lot of character to take the time to go through what you guys did to get this bad boy up. Nice job. BIG THUMBS UP!!!

This is extraordinary. Thanks Kristi for the pics and congratulations to Mr. Glesser and everyone involved into this initiative. America is blessed to have such citizens.

I noticed that the flag was taken in after sunset (which is great, BTW). Did you choose to bring the flag in each night, or did the city not allow a light to shine on the flag at night?sal wrote:Golden is a great city and we have a great city government. Check out Sal's post 39:
The lights will be installed (24/7 flags reguire special lighting and Golden requires "dark-sky" lighting) and the "official" raising will take place soon.
