Great move. I think this will make it a far more versatile knife.

Spot revisited
Any dates?
I agree a wharncliffe blade would be a great addition to this fixed knife. I have a la griffe and one of my gripes is that it's not very useful for utility work and the blade is harder to sharpen.
Question though.... When is the prospective date that this would go on sale... as much as i'd like to be able to buy a knife a week, my budget doesn't allow for it, so since I was looking at the new 'Walker' I was wondering when this new spot would come out so i can make a decision if I have to space out my buying decisions.
Thanks.

Sal, please start using the small Tekloks. I just received a Temp fixed, and have a featherweight on the way, and can't adjust to the huge Tekloks. I like the small ones. Also, I don't neck carry (if you're keeping track). I always, and will only consider, carrying at small of back. The knife disapears and is intuitive to find. That is my only request. I like different blade styles, but only if the knife is on me. Thank You.

My .02 on the spot
could you make the handle a lil longer for those of us that have been trained to use both ends of a knife, and whatever blade design you decide to use, keep it short, I like the blade thats on it, maybe just change the tip to more of a point than a hook
Or, for an optional carry, back to my spydey cell phone holster, as thin as this knife is, a compartment behind the phone for a spot, or a cricket or dragn-fly for folding phones lol, x-mas is coming lol

Sal,
Thanks for the opportunity to have a direct dialogue with you.
I just got a SPOT, and have to say that it is probably the most useful day to day utility knife that I own. The option to use my hands without putting down the knife is invaluable in the studio, garden, and fishing. I am amazed at how useful that small of a blade actually is.
My one request would be to not scrimp on the steel. VG10 at least. I use the knife so much that I don't want to sharpening it twice a day. You could cut down on the cost by leaving off the micarta on the handle. It's nice, but doesn't add that much to such a small knife. The folks that want it are going to customise anyway.

No "hangman" here either.
Sal ;
I'd jump on for a wharncliffe SPOT - I agree on increasing the blade
size as I found the old SPOT a bit small. Also, those mini Tek locks
sound like a good idea.
I could never adjust to reaching up under my shirt for my knife
Keep'em flyin'!

All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night, in the dusty recesses of their minds, awake in the day to find that it was vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes to make it reality.
