I just used my new Manix 2XL jade G10 and M4 steel to exercise my hones, took the 17 dps factory bevel to 15 dps. M4 give them a good work out lol. The knife is now on board...

I've just used my new blacked out Bodacious and my relatively new Slysz Bowie in a few photos I sent my friend.

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
Cut a bunch of blackberry vines growing through our fence from the neighbors yard with my Manix2 in 204p. No signs of wear after cutting about 20 or so vines using the wood fence to cut against. Still cleanly slices paper like I just sharpened it.
I'm pretty impressed with Spydercos 204p. (As with all the steels they use) Curious what the hardness is. Anybody know what it might be? My guess is 61-62hrc. Thats just from the limited testing and sharpening I've done.

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
I packed on 4 different Spyderco 's, my Leatherman, and my 30 year old Sowbelly Case and headed out the door to one of those really hard things we have to do ever so often.
Life long family friends funeral. Just no sugar coating those. The best part of the whole thing was all the little guys running around everywhere, when one came up to me and asked me what the rope hanging out of my pocket was lol.
My delight was pulling out my Police4 edc and showing him. He might have been six years old. By the time he got through checking it out, I had a crowd all around me wanting to see them all. The Spyderco 's will draw a crowd lol.
I had my Police4, Manix 2XL, Smock and my DogTag on me. There was a couple of really interesting conversations started up on my Spyderco knives. Kind of help soften the circumstances there at hand.
Everybody all dressed up in there best, none of us wanted to be there, least for this reason lol. Couple guys really had no idea how these big holes in our knives actually worked. Least till one had mine in his paw and opened it lol.
This guy looked up at me with this deer in the headlights look, said I had know idea how much easier it was to open your knife with that. From a guy using only thumb nail notches to the modern technology just like that lol...
Needless to say, was the best part of the whole thing when the little guy came up to me and ask me what that rope was. Coarse I had to tell him it was a lanyard and that it had this nice little knife on the other end...

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
As was stated in an earlier post today, this may be one of my most used Spyderco knives.

My daughter does the same thing with bandaids! She even calls them her "stickers" and loves to put them all over herself lolPacu0420 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 22, 2025 11:00 amI just did it about a week ago. I cut up fruit for my grand daughter a lot. Well...as I was wiping the blade off I stabbed the tip of my index finger. No pix. But it was a real bleeder. I had to hide it. as not to alarm the GD. Lol! No band aids, because the same GD gets into them and uses all of them as stickers. So I used TP and some duct tape. Which didn't work. Next thing I know, I have blood running down my hand and my GD is pale as a ghost asking me if I was ok! Now I'm holding my hand behind my back assuring her that I'm alright. It finally stopped bleeding after several minutes and all was well. But what a scene! Lol![]()
