What I'd like to know is: how do you guys get all these spiders to crawl across your Spydies? I've seen so many of these pics now!

Missouri Tarantula (Aphonopelma hentzi) ? Great photo !
Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
It takes patient corralling. If you push them too quickly, they'll run away or get defensive. If you nudge them gently and slowly, they'll eventually let you pose them for the photo shoot.JonLeBlanc wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 3:53 pm

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Thanks everyone!
Not sure... it doesn't seem hairy enough, but I guess it could be. I can't seem to find anything else it might be.

Yeah this one was a bit sluggish. I even held him on my hand for a bit. (And I don't normally like spiders.)

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
You know, I really am not afraid of spiders (because there's something kinda elegant and innocent about them lol) but I still think I'd rather them on my knife than my hand :cool:The Meat man wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 4:32 pmJonLeBlanc wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 4:31 pmThat's so cool, they model for you lolattila wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 4:12 pmIt takes patient corralling. Thanks for your submissions everyone! It was another good week and choosing the winners is never easy.
Winner this week is ladybug93! I really like the contrast between the rushing waterfall and the two SALT knives!

Great pics everyone!

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
thank you, mushroom! there were a lot of good submissions, so it's an honor to be chosen. i'm looking forward to seeing what everyone posts this week. i really like the theme that has developed with spydies in the wild, but z4vdBt's submission gives me an idea...
for this week, how about shooting your favorite spyderco edc with some other edc item? it can be anything you carry regularly that is a useful part of your edc. don't be afraid to get creative with your items as well as your images. :)
thanks for the kind words. i really liked yours also. i love that g10 dragonfly. is yours dyed, or is it just the lighting making it look a little darker?GiftedMisfit wrote: Congrats everyone. Awesome pictures as usual.

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Just the lighting. It's pretty light green. I guess its foliage? I've never seen foliage green until this DF. I really like it for my 5th pocket. Thanks and congrats again.
