Being a New Yorker I know all too well about 9/11. I knew what the towers were on the handle ;-). Those are some gorgeous Spydies. That is some amazing history behind the materials used in them as well.GoldenSpydie wrote: They are World Trade Center commemorative D'allara Rescues. The towers represent the twin towers in NYC, and the inlay is made from steel from WTC building #1.
They were released shortly after the 9-11 terrorist attack in 2001 as a fundraiser for the Orphans and Widows fund. Yesterday, Spyderco released the last 100 of "spare" WTCs. These were apparently kept around to be replacements if someone returned a knife for warranty.

That is strange...don't know what to tell you.Jazz wrote:I'm on an iPhone 4 and Safari and it doesn't work. Doesn't work on my PC either.3rdGenRigger wrote:Just my desktop, and I use Chrome. I just tried for the first time on my iPhone 4 (Not even a 4S...I definitely need an upgrade soon), and it looks fine using the Safari browser. Looks exactly the same as it does on my desktop.

How do you like that G-10 Manbug so far? I gave one to my father-in-law last Christmas and he really seems to like it. I EDC the FRN version in VG-10 and I really seem to prefer it over my beloved Ladybug (which is surprising because I've carried a Ladybug for about the past 12 years).

It is not nice to lie GoldenSpydie.
We all know you bought that lot for the M-16 knife, admit it.
Great score by the way congrats.

The feel of this thing is the nicest Slipjoint I've ever owned. My only gripe is the corner a the pivot end of the spine of the blade.

Very nice choice Brian. I love GEC and their production quality and the Northwoods pieces seem a step above their normal stuff. I hope to see a sheepfoot patterned single blade from them at some point.Donut wrote:The feel of this thing is the nicest Slipjoint I've ever owned.
