Hey David,
Construction is behind. It will have to wait until the expansion is finished. We're looking at Spring. Hope we can begin it then.
sal
I will be so excited to see this project finally get to fruition. I think it is going to be great.

Thank you Sal.

Although I’m not particularly interested in paying a huge premium for a Damasteel version, I would like to see more G-10 and full length back springs across the UKPK range.
Ive only seen them offered as exclusives by Heinnie Haynes so far and that’s a real shame because those versions transform the UKPK into a much more quality item unlike the el cheapo feeling FRN versions do.

Please bring us more G-10 versions. They are better. …And bring us tool steel - It rains a lot here but we can take it!

Agreed on the G10, and the full length backspacer.

Those two changes significantly increase the quality feel of the knife.

No more tool steels in small pocket knives ! That’s how they ruined the Calypso jr. sprint ! Keep the tool steels for hard use folders and fixed blades.

I don't own any Damasteel. I might open the wallet for a G10 UKPK in Damasteel. Perfect gentleman's folder.

I have done a blade swap with an S110V blade into the red G10 handle from a Heinnie exclusive. It definitely makes the knife feel more substantial, but it also makes it feel disproportionately blocky in my pocket compared to the FRN. I think they both have their place. The G10 does have a lovely rigidity to it, but there is a manufacturer in the UK who makes all manner of aftermarket scales to fit either variant - it might be worth looking into that if you want G10 (or micarta/titanium/etc) now rather than waiting.

Thanks Jovial, I’ll keep an eye out for them in the future although I currently only own the HH versions of the UKPK. I can see why they’d do FRN for a Salt Version in LC200N but the G-10, full back spring and washers elevate it to something much more premium. £90 for them in the U.K. was outstanding value. I hope we get more.

I quite like the Urban, but the UKPK is going to be really great.

Sal mentioned previously Spring time, but obviously this is just an estimate. If I have learned anything in the last decade it's that a landscape can change in a blink, and one must be prepared to change the plan.

Hi David.

Not much will happen until the expansion is complete. But thanx for the reminder.

3 months later and I am back on my b*llsh*t again.

Any further news, Sal? Any nearer to a time frame?

Man…. I meant to ask Eric about the expansion at the Oregon Knife Show, and I completely forgot.

If I can step away from my table long enough at Blade Show in a couple of weeks, I’ll try to ask about that and the UKPK.
