Does anyone know why this sprint run has skeletonized liners, but not the regular production models?

Most, if not all, manix sprints have skeletonized liners. It's just one more thing that makes the sprints special over the regular production manix. It sure does make a difference in weight.

I haven't carried this one yet and am in no real hurry so it might be a while before I get around to dyeing some of my knives. Or, maybe I'll carry it for a bit and see what the grimy look works out to.....after all the G10 can always be cleaned and dyed after the fact. But I think that I will experiment first on the FRN knives that I'm interested in changing the colour for before I attempt a G10 knife since the consequences to me are a lot lower to screwing up an FRN handle. I've sporadically researched past threads on Rit dyeing but it seems that lately I haven't had a lot of free time for side projects outside of work except for some well deserved R&R. This is the only time I have to fondle my knives and I wouldn't want to take away from that time to actually do something resembling effort. I'll save it for a "rainy day" project. ;)

I like the subtle darkness that's slowly being imprinted on the handles of my CruWear knives from my hand...the blue from my jeans is even more prominent, and together I'm liking the look. The Manix is farther along as I carry it more than the Military (I prefer the lock and tip up carry)...I'll have to try to snap a picture that captures the look. A Mr. Clean Magic Eraser will have it looking like new if I so desire...I know from cleaning the scales of my G10 Jester and the one I bought for my mother (They were display models I got for half price because the scales were unclean...took all of 2 minutes to have them looking pristine again).

If your buying these to collect and be safe queens I get wanting to keep em clean but if they are users I find it odd how people get so up tight over a little dirt on the scales..

My Cruwear Millie gets used every day at work and it shows..

I know what you mean. I often opt for the much needed R&R. My mods are in the queue for a while, sometimes.

Well, they look so pretty when they're new. I'm one of those guys who hates the "first scratch", but after that I'm okay.
