When I need to shorten a screw a scootch or two, I chuck it in my drill and spin it while holding the end to ... whatever, grinder, belt sander, file, etc. Sometimes I have to run a nut onto the screw to get a good grip. Added benefit is that I don't nick my delicate fingertips.
There’s actually a tool for this. I forget what it’s called though.

If I had a tap for whatever these screws are I would just drill and tap some thin aluminum sheet to help with holding them and use a diamond plate to grind them down a little.

After experiencing the Native in Magnacut, I want it in Native Chief also :-))
Hope it will drop soon, the summer is already here.

If you happen to remember, I'd like to know. Drop me a PM?

Me too! I paid SMKW for a MC NC November of last year. 6 months and counting...

I just had a pivot screw go awol on mine. No problem getting another I'm sure, but I've never had it happen on any Spyderco before, and that's not a small sample size. This is a fantastic design, but it has some issues not typically associated with Spyderco.

Well, I'm late to the party, but my first Chief LW arrived today right before I left for work.

I brought some different knives with me to work to compare it to.

I'm going to make a dedicated thread in a few hours with lots of photos sharing my impressions, comparing it to a G10 Chief and some others.

Excited to check it out! Haven't even opened the box yet.

Has anyone out there tried a MXG or Lynch deep carry clip on a NC LW?
I too would like the clip’s pressure point on the landing pad, but would prefer a little less knife above my pocket.

I have a few MXG clips that I like very much, but none in the deep carry Spyderco family.

Thanks, zhyla. Thanks olditguy.
The pics aren’t of the deep carry clip, however.

FWIW, I have the same clip you posted on my Swayback and an analogue on a Spidermonkey. I love it on both.
