Re: Spyderco Calypso Jr. Sprint Run Knife Gray (Aogami Super Blue)
I'm going to have to watch this thread more closely.
Re: Spyderco Calypso Jr. Sprint Run Knife Gray (Aogami Super Blue)
I'm going to have to buy some super blue kitchen knives or something to scratch my itch

The Rex45 Military is #1 on my list for the rest of 2018. Bummed I missed this one, but I’m going to really hunker down and try to score that Military.
Days without buying a Spyderco: 35

Would it be possible to get a comparison pic of the spine of a Caly Jr. and a delica? I'd also take a Caly Jr. and Caly 3 comparison pic!

Military should be easy to get. The first day or two of drops may be tough as some of us have been anticipating this one for a long time, but after the die hards all get one it should stay in stock longer than 5 min at a time. I have no doubt you will easily grab one at MAP price or less (ebay coupons and/or best offer). I was concerned I wouldnt get a Spyderhawk sprint and I easily scored one on ebay for like $70 after coupon and best offer and they are still widely available.

Don't mind the factory 2nd notch on the Delica.
Top to bottom is Delica, Calypso Jr, and Caly 3.
Re: Spyderco Calypso Jr. Sprint Run Knife Gray (Aogami Super Blue)
Man, those Caly 3's are the bee's knees..
Re: Spyderco Calypso Jr. Sprint Run Knife Gray (Aogami Super Blue)
Thanks Jabba! Seems like the Caly Jr is basically same thickness as the Caly 3, in other words both are slightly thicker than a Delica?

Using my calipers on the spine, just ahead of the ricasso, the thickest readings I get are:
Delica - 2.32mm
Calypso Jr - 2.89mm
Caly 3 - 2.85mm

I certainly enjoy mine!
I have to agree with a previous post (or review video?) that, although very nice, the Caly Jr does feel quite dated. The caly 3 and 3.5 are just more practical due to modern updates. I will still carry the Jr, but it will just be more for fun. For me, it goes 3.5 > 3 > Jr. I really like the blade tip a lot better on the 3.5. The 3 just feel like it was rounded off, but the Jr tip is better than the 3.

I agree on the being dated part. I think this is one where they could release a Caly Jr 2 with some updates like wire clip, jimping, and tip up carry, and this could be a viable production knife. It is such a great little knife. I would love to see a solid Hap40 sprint in an updated Caly Jr 2 platform.

Thanks for the heads up. Ended up ordering the 3 they had left. Gotta have them for the Super Blue collection A lot of people have a limit of one and this takes out the hassle and searching although they were each marked up $10.
I hope more Super Blue models are produced. The hap40 models easily outnumber the Super Blue and came much later. Hopefully some of the models like the wharnie delica are made is Super Blue.
How about a Caly 3.5 damascus?!
So what's the next Super Blue model coming?

Just ordered at optics planet, looks like there's more...
Re: Spyderco Calypso Jr. Sprint Run Knife Gray (Aogami Super Blue)
When I just looked it still says "extended backorder-unknown ETA".
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!
Re: Spyderco Calypso Jr. Sprint Run Knife Gray (Aogami Super Blue)
Dang, I may have missed that...could have swore it wasn't there when I ordered..
Re: Spyderco Calypso Jr. Sprint Run Knife Gray (Aogami Super Blue)
Does anyone have a bead on any in stock at the moment. I keep missing out..
