And, of course, USPS delivery is hit-or-miss. On the day Ernie arrived in my mailbox, so did ALL of my neighbor's mail for the day. I asked my daughter to imagine how upset I'd be if my $117 knife was the item that was misdelivered. Idiots. What really bothers me is that if I screwed up that often, I'd be in serious trouble.

And for my part, the joy is in the getting, not in the waiting. :)
Sorry to hear you get such poor service from USPS. My experience is 100% reliable, so much so that I prefer them over any other carrier. I generally can get coast-to-coast delivery within 3 days, even first class, when the contents are under 13 oz.

usps isnt too bad except their tracking system is awful about 85% of the time. and sometimes they will leave a package in the middle of the doorstep, not off to the side so its hidden by some bushes but right in the middle where it can be easily seen if you are walking by

Yes, while tracking has improved it needs to be more reliable. Regarding delivery placement, talk to your carrier; these folks are fighting for their livelihood right now, and will accommodate just about any request. Most PO employees realize it's no longer business as usual. Shortly, when some PO's close and Saturday deliveries cease, layoffs will be impact-full.

USPS around here has been much more reliable than UPS. Tracking seems to be accurate for me too. UPS on the other hand, almost always has some kind of delivery hiccup or delay, and twice, they've broken or severely damaged my item throwing it onto the porch.

As for the Para 2, mine was just a slight bit tight at first, but after opening it several times, it smoothed right out, without even having to adjust anything. Now, it's just about perfect.

a centered blade is nice but not a necessity for me. I'd rather it open and close smoothly and to my satisfaction than have a perfectly centered blade.

Mine arrived - well centered, slightly stiff but nothing to complain about.

Just got mine Friday. Mine is a bit tight at the pivot also compared to my regular PM2. Not worried about it, though - everything is good on it. Have not tried out the steel yet - only cut paper and admired it. Now, I can put my other PM2 to hard use since I have two now. Only other difference I saw was that Eric's logo was moved from next to Sal's logo to the other side of the Spydie hole. Wonder why they did that?

I only got one so I'm torn between using it or making it a safe queen. Mine isn't really off, loose or tight anywhere besides a little stickiness on the lock, but that will wear in eventually.

Only the very first Para 2s had Eric and Sal's tags side by side. Then they moved them to opposite sides of the Spydie hole.

Mine came in yesterday...two and a half days after giving CS my information. Great customer service and shipping speed as usual!

Beautiful knife! Sharpest goddamn Spyderco I've ever bought.

I haven't seen anyone comment yet if the back corners of the blade are rounded like the brown Para 2.

I missed out when CS had these up for pre-order, they sold out rather quickly. But I did manage to snag one yesterday from BF. They're fetching quite a pretty penny. I think people have figured out that if you purchase two, sell the second one for double the purchase price, you are essentially getting the first one for free.

You learn fast. :)
Even better, since there was no limit. Then, buy all 800 and sell 1/2 of them for double and you're left with 400 free ones to add to your collection. :)
One ebay seller already sold 8. Why there was no limit is beyond me?

I was trying to be a good neighbor and only ordered one orange and one green. Hopefully the good karma I get by leaving 2 more for other knifenuts to get at the dealer price rather than the flippers price will outweigh the money saved getting one extra of each to flip :D

I really am enjoying the new orange one. Used it today for farm chores and just made a big salad. This is my first PM2 and really like the ergos and the blade and lovin the XHP steel. Great knife and worth the wait.

I think when your the guy on the hook for $65,000 worth of pocket knives your prob. not to worried if someone buys 5, 10, or even 100. There are no guarantees in the game of business (well unless you're a huge multi-national corp. w/deep enough pockets to lobby for legislation eliminating your competition for essential commodities)

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

As a small business owner I agree. It would be a risk to set a limit and I was happy for cutlery shoppe when they sold em all. Nice company.

As far as not missing sprints, if you check in here on the forum regularly than somebody always posts when they appear on the websites of the dealers.
