Thank you all and especially Mushroom! :-) And the answer is yes - it is spikes of frost. It was very moist in the air the evening before and then everything froze. The hole world became white! Rather beautiful but a bit early for my taste. If it stays that way it's going to be a looong winter here in Sweden.

Where is global warming when you need it, Aliaspostmortem.

Greetings, my fellow crude nationalist deplorables. Here is my new precious.
It occurred to me that in spite of the Rubicon's fierce blade shape and grind,
the bright orange back spacer and pivot ring make it... friendly looking.
Even a liberal could love it.

Greetings fellow knifenuts! Time to announce this weeks winners. Not extremely many contributions this week but still some interesting photos.
A battle between lines - vanishing, wood grain and shaped like a W (which happens to be the first letter of my second name) and "knife portraits" of some distinguished models such as Techno, Caly, Delica and PM2. I took one from each category. :)

So this weeks winner is: Filoso- with his tranquil portrait of a Techno.

And runner up is RadioactiveSpyder with his superhero W (for Wikström?) or was it 2xV?

Nice choices this week:

I'm going to have to go with another sunset one-

Image
Warhammer 40000 is- basically- Lord Of The Rings on a cocktail of every drug known to man and genuine lunar dust, stuck in a blender with Alien, Mechwarrior, Dune, Starship Troopers, Fahrenheit 451 and Star Wars, bathed in blood, turned up to eleventy billion, set on fire, and catapulted off into space screaming "WAAAGH!" and waving a chainsaw sword- without the happy ending.

Dang, it was a busy week and weekend traveling for the seconds sale! Disappointed I missed entering last week, but time to get back at it!
Congrats to Filoso and RadioactiveSpyder! Great shots.

Heres a shot of one of my seconds that I picked up at the sale on Saturday up on a trail at Mt. Galbraith, right behind SFO. Went for a hike right after I left the sale before going back for round II :D It was a long and cold night, but very much worth the wait for the sale.
