Thank you @8th_Note and @RustyIron

Mine had the bubble wrap bag, that's the right term I just forgot to say it that way.

I'll watch this thread to see if anybody had a similar situation. Could be the shop repacked it in fear of rusting if it sits on the shelf too long, who knows...

As far as the FRN goes I'm sure it's good quality, just that the G-10 on the P4 I already have is one of my favorite scales.

Smooth! :smiling-heart-eyes

It has a more premium feel to it.

My unsophisticated hands can't tell the difference between American, Japanese, or Chinese FRN. I wouldn't know the difference between premium FRN and the inferior types.

You can always go the route of custom G10 handle scales from Dmytro on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/shop/DHCustomKnives). The quality is great, turnover quick enough and they definitely elevate the knife without too much of a weight penalty

It could be wholly my imagination too.

Thanks, it's good to know about this shop!

I'm unlikely to change anything on a Sprint Run. I will probably leave the Sprint Run in the drawer for a while. I'm a little disappointed in it but better to have it while it's still available than want it later after you can't find one.

I don’t know if one is more premium than the other, but wether I’m imagining it or not I too prefer Seki and Taichung FRN over Golden FRN. I guess I prefer them over Chinese FRN as well, but I haven’t used my Chinese FRN models enough to have decisive opinion.

I put mine on my reground K390 police for now, though I'm thinking hard about switching them to the PD#1 as they're white and would make a cool storm trooper look

How sharp/ragged is the hole on this batch? Specifically the Endura.

I want to pick one up but I have sanded/softened the edge on ALL my Seki models to date.
Their factory hole finish is trash imo - Either nail-notching ragged or almost finger-cutting sharp on all my Seki's. (I love the seki line except for their low quality hole-finish)

Since these are coated I won't be able to soften the edge without ruining the look.

Could anyone take a close up picture of the hole at a 45* angle?
How's the hole sharpness?
Will it notch your nail after 50 flicks in a day like usual seki's?

You read my mind. I was thinking white would be a good choice for this. I don't like coated blades, in this case a black blade with a white handle would look very nice. But I wonder if it would be possible keep them clean.

On my Pacific Salts, especially the yellow scales get horribly dirty and brown and I didn't find a way to clean them. No matter how I wash them nothing changes.

I just saw this on etsy while looking at Dmytro's scales.

Does @sal know about this guy? https://www.etsy.com/shop/FURAJ this is outrageous infringement.

I know many prefer the sharp edges on the spydie hole. I do not, and soften all of mine. I have 4 of the Micro-Melt sprints (sales ;) ), and they are not quite as sharp as usual, but I would still soften them if I could, but won't.

White gets dirty pretty easily but G10 is also really easy to clean. I've been carrying that P4 and a Resilience with similar scales for a couple months now and it's not a big problem. The worst offenders are new jeans, they bleed color readily and that dye is a bit more labor intensive to remove, but otherwise it's not problematic
