Re: Manix Monday
Here in Texas what crawls around those rocks better be what you worry more about, the spyder bite most of us have here, ain't nothing like the bite they can put on ya'... there are some sure enough full grown Coontail rattle bugs in Texas. I have personally picked up more than a couple over 6' and they was some kind of mad by the time I got them.
Now for my Manix Monday, I have my favorite Manix 2XL in some very fitting and stylish green Micarta scales and my new Mule in M398, that is one more hard steel. It's wearing none other than Spyderco G10 black scales that I also just love how they feel in my paw.
This Mule is quickly becoming a favorite of mine, once I figure out how I am going to fit the Boltaron Sheath to my heavy 1.75" belt, it will be my favorite and mainly because how hard the steel is.
This knife feels crazy good in your paw anyway, to have and edge to stand up and cut all day, what's not to like about that. I can wear this in Texas too. It very well may get its on lanyard too... I certainly have not ruled that out and I have a couple extras made already.

Re: Manix Monday
My Manix Monday is a Manix 2XL- G10 and M4 steel which I truly wish was DLC'd lol... I fear this M4 with the summer heat and my sweaty body will end up in the same manner my K390 does... really would like to avoid that if possible.
We have triple digit heat casted for this week, already cranking up the heat here this year. While I like everthing green and grow and the warmer weather, I am not ready for this over 95 everyday, Yikes...

Re: Manix Monday
they did an M4 run in dlc, maybe you can track one down. if not the standard dlc s30v runs hold up great when it comes to swest and corrosive fluids.
Re: Manix Monday
Yes, I got several of the S30V in DLC and the Manix 2XL model, I have seen a couple of the M4 's on the bigger Manix 2XL model that have the M4 and DLC steel.
I have been trolling on a couple for the last few days, they just are quite pricey, freaking money always gets in the way, even when it isn't, I get a price in my head and they are double that lol. They are NIB so they command a price lol.
I think the MagnaMax steel might be the next really great steel, but to get that in a Manix 2XL I fear will be way down the road.
The really good steel in these bigger knives is really hard sell, I guess lol. They always make these first runs in the smaller knives... all I do is collect those lol.

Re: Manix Monday
I can't believe nobody has a Manix Monday on this forum, it doesn't have to be the Manix 2XL you know lol.
Here is another one, a Manix 2 in FatCarbon-Dark matter gold. It's a weird color when put with other colors, italmost changes colors from AL distance.
So, come on guys; let's see what you got...
