Re: Urban K390 in stock
Nice pic Gsg9! I like how the Urban looks right at home next to the Nirvana. :)

Sold the first one I got from the states... didn't entirely suit my grip... now I got a second one... enough said
it is just too good to pass.

I would take a couple wharncliffe Urbans, even in safety orange (but preferably not).
Defintely would check out the Caly 2,5 but can't we get that in wharncliffe as well? :D

I only like a wharncliffe blade as a secondary, not a primary. My opinion is that other blade styles are better for daily routines. A wharncliffe does have uses, though. Perhaps Spyderco will make a knife with a larger regular blade and a smaller wharncliffe.

Funny thing is, the pingo is the uncomfortable one for next the Urban handle is perfect
How well does k390 take a high polish edge?

Re: Urban K390 in stock
same with mine as well. Kinda stinks. I wanted to take the blade out and put a more even patina on it. Oh well, only cosmetics... My grind was way off too, i am going to reprofile this weekend!kbuzbee wrote:That's how my second one is too. The first one came out easily. Now, what to do? Maybe just let the second patina more naturally? I might try the dowel & superglue trick at some pointNemo3000 wrote:But, unfortunatly I was unenable to unscrew the pivot as the bolt on the other side was freely turning under my finger
In the mean time, here's a comparison of the vinegar patinaed one to the stock one:

Just got mine. Never thought that I will like small knife like this. Perfect ergonomics for my hands, ground very thin behind the edge and wanted to try analog of CPM 10V steel. Very happy about this purchase. Best 50€ spent!

Hey Sal, do you still have K390 stock languishing in Maniago? Seems to be a fair bit of support for a wharnie Urban in K390! I’d be in!

I'll pretty much buy anything in K390.

Re: Urban K390 in stock
I love K390 as experienced in my Urban LW. More of it is a good thing.
