..bearing in mind that I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed..

Am I missing anything, or are these selling for MSRP from the various dealers? No MAP adjustment, ...

u.w.

ETA, lol
See lead-in comment please :smirk
I just saw on another site that they were marked at $350, and are selling for what seems to be MAP.

🤔 another special run out of "seki"...? that's an easy pass for me, even though it's a model i'd love to have. good luck to you all though.

Hoping the Centofante 4 wharnie makes a similar comeback someday. I'd be happy if it came out in Cruwear and FRN, as I find Seki CF (at least on the ZDP Caly) a bit slick.

Has anyone else noticed that, in the pictures, it appears to be flat ground, rather than hollow ground, much like the BHQ M4 Poliwog was?

Man I really hope not.

I'd also like to know which factory is making this one? I'm wondering if it's the same that did the last Ayoob run.

I might be wrong but it doesn’t look like a hollow grind to me. In that case it’s a no go for me.

Looks like a Sabre grind to me 😁
The regular production model has a hollow grind. I would assume the same here but not 100% sure.
Also Indiana knives description states hollow grind

Have a C3 and C4 and love them. I'd buy more C4's if they get a revival. The Centofante is a great EDC, light, cuts wonderfully. I really like everything about this knife (except 1 thing)...

...$265 for a small, relatively standard, Seki knife? What a joke. The Yen has never been weaker, making this a high margin knife just based on currency exchange.

The latest spyderco price hikes have firmly put me in the "Only-Buys-Used" category now. $260+ for a small, nothing special knife is ridiculous. $350 MSRP is insulting.

(by nothing special I mean CF and Cruwear are not cutting edge materials these days, as they were in years past. In fact, they are common on good quality mid-market knives for half the price. I love both CF and Cru and the Centofante, but still not spending $265 on a small, standard material knife, especially from Seki. the $300 Rex121 or 15v I understand - the materials are insane to deal with. Im amazed demand is still there with MAP these days. I hit my breaking point with the last round of price hikes)

Also the reflection appears to look like a Sabre grind. The reflection is even across the grind. Hollow is concave so a bright line should follow the concavity. The SpyMyto was stated a Hollow but ended up being FFG so I wont trust the website until someone holds it and confirms hollow.

Im only opening my wallet for the most-extra-special-est spyderco's these days. The Native Chief Salt is my only want at the moment, and hopefully that pricing is still pre-MAP hike. if its over $250, I'll pass on it as well.

Overall I'm bummed this is over $200. Otherwise it would have been a real winner at $175ish street price.

I think this is great but sadly I am not a huge fan of cf ands it’s up charge. I will have to think about it. These really are great models!

my guess is that it is the same factory. all of the more special knives stamped from seki in the last few years have come from that factory. many of them are plagued with qc issues and imperfections, despite their relatively steep asking prices.

Same here. And as a lefty I've almost purchased the the C3 numerous times but can't bring myself to buy a righty only knife.

It looks like the cf is pinned, right?

I'd definitely buy if it were possible to swap scales, it'd be awesome if this was micarta or even a different color g-10.

Oh well, still great to see it treated to new material, awesome design.

Edit: now that I looked again, is this screw construction?

Also, is it possible these will see the map holiday treatment or will they disappear beforehand?

You legends. When I saw this, as a lefty I knew it would be an instant buy for me.
Then I saw Indiana knives don't ship to Australia :(
I wondered if there could be another way and came to the forums... and blow me down if DLT aren't getting some too. You beauty :)
