Well HAPPY NEW YEARs gang :star-struck !! I might just get out my Spyderco Lum Tanto folder to carry today to celebrate opening page #1 on a new calendar.

It's gonna be interesting to see what 2023 has in store for Spyderco's dedicated fan base. The new Cruwear C-60 Ayoob is so nice and would also be a great way to start the new year.

I don't know about you guys but this past 3 years has literally flashed by :spiral-eyes

No Spydie yesterday (carried a CIVIVI Baklash in 154CM), but I plan on carrying my Chaparral in Blue Stepped Ti today (carried it on Christmas too).

Happy new knife budget year, all!

New Year’s Eve carry was pretty unexciting, but good. As pretty much all of December I carried my k390 DF2 wharnie and a Vic Executive.

This particular DF2 has become my go-to year round, so no surprise there.
The Vic is more out of character. I typically carry a slightly modified Cadet, but changed to the Executive for December as part of a challenge over at multitool.org. It’s a weird little tool, but the scissors (which I normally don’t care too much about) has been very useful throughout the holiday season. This wasn’t totally unexpected, and the reason I even cared to join in the first place. Glad to report it worked out even better than expected. That said, I’ll be switching back to my Cadet before going to work tomorrow.

For my New Year’s Eve snow-/sleet storm workout, I carried the Salt 2 H1 in the back pocket of my gore tex pants.

Wish everyone a hopeful, optimistic and healthy 2023
