Actually I should too... :worried

I mean, I love really light, linerless FRN Spydies, and I most likely would always grip the UKPK with a finger in the choil anyway, which makes a lock much less important imo..

I think in my case it is just that in Austria, my home country, one can carry whatever knife they like, while pretty much in all the surrounding countries they can´t.. and so I guess I am silly enough to "think" that if I CAN carry a locking folder of any size legally I just HAVE TO make use of this opportunity, no matter what.. just silly, as said...

If it gives you some incentive, I live in Texas, where I can carry any gun I want to, and I still carry slipjoint folders.

To be honest, I usually carry the UKPK Salt around the house or maybe to the gym. Of course, that makes it by far my most-carried knife since, being retired, I spend a lot of time at home. When fishing, hiking, kayaking, etc., I carry something larger and locking, or fixed. Having said that, I would gladly carry the UKPK, but I have other options...

Have you held a UKPK, and worked its action? It's pretty awesome. Very strong "lock." I bought the UKPK Salt, and then spotted a UKPK Salt SE at a reduced price, so now I have two. :cheap-sunglasses

If there wasn't fairly loose knife laws id probably own the UK pk by now...
You seem to like some of the knives I post. Trust me, the UKPK is an incredible knife. Particularly the HH Exclusive if that's available again. Top 5 Spyderco for this guy!

Don't get me wrong I want a UKPK bad and they seem really great for the price. One day I want to get one and CNC some ti scales for it.
I believe the Urban is available. I'm not nearly as interested in it though. I probably would have bought an Urban by now if I didn't have a Chap. The Urban actually seems better in some ways, and while I appreciate the amazing lock on the Chap the Urban seems more convenient to use.

The UKPK is a great knife, have been surprised how much I like it. The salt version is my favorite cycling knife, no worries about rust, super light, and almost unnoticeable in a jersey pocket.

Dunno what i'd do if there were no SpydieChef. Pretty unique in its design conformation and quality. Would probably have to try one of the Kaparas.

I would get a Drunken.

Appreciate the suggestion. The Drunken is a mighty fine knife in a mighty fine steel, but when you get right down to it, I'm afraid I would be pretty much SOL. A couple of things that I like most about the SpydieChef is an easily sharpened fine grain steel and its continuous large radius sweep. A polished push cut edge is easily attainable. I know it might seem comical to envision, but rockin' that tiny blade to mince garlic is actually very doable.

If there was no Native 5 model, I would own more Delica 4 variants in different steels and handle colors.
