Despite all the wishes for a different steel I have yet to own a pm2 so this may be IT ! This color combo is speaking to me (I don’t care for digi). VG-10 works great for me in a EDC. I just can’t see S30V letting me down from all my readings here about it. I don’t collect knives I use them in rotation and touch them up on my SM as needed. I do get where edge junkies are coming from but for my needs a utility edge works great. I like the bare stainless especially for resale but I also like the look of well used DLC on a blade along with a worn clip.

I think a lot of these guys just want to see something a little more exotic than S30V. I have several knives with S30V and I like it. If that new PM2 is calling your name I say go for it. I might have bought one but I already have a black/DLC PM2.

S30v is fine, but I would see no reason to pay more because of scale color.
