Believe me, I had to re-read almost the whole original post about three times before I found it!!
I remembered it was in there ..... somewhere .... but I sure had to hunt to find it again. :D
An interesting contrast to the last offering in LC200N. Here we have a non-stainless tool steel knife and then we had a knife with extreme corrosion resistance. It is as though the cosmos is striving towards conservation of corrosion resistance. Well, I look forward to the PMA11 steel. Living in the desert, it should work well for me and a bit of patina sounds just fine.
It was a beautiful partly cloudy day in Colorado today, so I decided to drive up to the Spyderco factory. I picked up one of the PMA11 Mules, along with a sheath and scales. I have to say, the scales are much more comfortable than I ever thought they would be. I can't wait to start trying it out as my new camping knife.

I am Jealous, it is 108 in Phoenix today! I placed my order online today - arrives on Thursday. Mule, Sheath, and Scales!
So far I am very impressed with this one. This is by far the sharpest blade I have ever received from Spyderco, but no telling if that speaks to the steel or the care taken in making the blade. And I have been busy reading about 10V, K390, and A11 online and get more enthused all the time. I'm thinking this might well give Maxamet a run for the money, but what do I know.
