I was thinking of the same comparison. Then I read that with the FRN version, when carried tip-up, the clip doesn't line up well with the smooth section of handle scale, making for a rough pocket insertion/draw. So I would choose the Blurple.

I have the regular Native in both G10 & FRN and I like both. That's why I'm having a hard time deciding which S110V version to get.
Is what I read about the clip true or is it a non-issue?
It's a non-issue for me. I carry mine tip up and the clip rests just short of the edge where the smooth section meets the textured part. No problems drawing it that I've noticed. I think I actually have more of a problem putting the knife back in my pocket than I do drawing it. Not really what I'do call a problem there either. If it was I'd just tweek the clip a little so there's not so much pressure. Regardless, IMO the knife is way too nice to let something small like that be a show stopper for me. As usual YMMV

Mine arrived in the mail yesterday. Feels plenty sharp, shaves easily, but I haven't had time to do much more than glance at it. I would like to go over it with the SharpMaker first. Didn't put it in my pocket yet, for some reason one of my fluted Ti Native 5's decided it was time to be carried :) and I still have no complaints with S35VN either!

I do still like the blurple G10, and plan to keep acquiring from each model which is offered in G10/S110V.
Which Knife, A or B? get Both! (and C, D and E) :)

Cheers, Radioactive :)
Mineral was in the mailbox the day before yesterday, what a pleasant surprise. Didn't even know it had been shipped.

I got mines yesterday. This is my first Native and first Blurple. It's a good sturdy knife. Only complaint... the steel liners(well side)are sharp and no Spyderco paperwork included in box. Is this OK? I have no problems sanding down the liner edges.
My Manix 2 G10 liners are smooth.

The lack of paperwork would annoy me

W7H2O, if one of the knife liners was not finished correctly and there was no paperwork in the box, then that begs the question of whether or not your knife is a counterfeit. And the answer to that questions begins with where you bought it. At an authorized dealer?

Of course Spyderco is not infallible. If the knife is legit, which is likely to be the case since it is a newly introduced blurple model, then I would send it back to Spyderco to replace it. Otherwise the company won't learn about its mistake.

I didn't realize the blurple G10 Natives were only going to be a Sprint run. I wonder why they're not going to be a stock model like the other blurple models?
