The PM 2 has a robust enough point that I have no concerns of failure for my purposes. The FFG delica, on the other hand, is a blade that I have never gained confidence in.

It's not a pry bar and shouldn't be one, one can add an inexpensive pry tool to their key chain if that's a priority. Would you want a really stabby gun that doesn't shoot so well? What situations would one need a thick point that a cheap Gerber Shard wouldn't be able to solve hidden away on a keychain?
Exactly why I carry a Shard in conjunction with my fine-tipped knives!

Well there will always be that argument "what if it's the only tool I have and I HAVE to pry that door off the hinges with my Para 2?" and that's why I say just kick the dang door down and spare your knife :D

I dropped my cts-20cp into a steel ceramic sink tip first when cleaning it off from about 2 ft up, I was expecting some damage, but it survived with a slightly blunted tip (1/2mm), no damage with any of my other 6 pm 2s or 4 militaries besides that.

I used a buck advance on somebody and the tip held up well with soft tissue.. I'm sure the tip on my paramilitary 2 would hold up well.

Probably a subject best discussed on a self defense forum. Using any tool for defense is a discussion in itself, but for the sake of the knife industry and the many negative thoughts that folks harbor about knives in general, I think I would prefer not to go there in here? Thanx much.
