What do you like in the Caly over the Sage?

There are things I prefer with both knives. I prefer the Sage 1 liner lock over the back lock, and I prefer the pillar/open construction in the Sage 1 over the closed construction of the Caly 3.5. I prefer the blade shape and length of the 3.5, and thin design over the Sage 1. Both are GREAT knives, for me the Caly 3.5 carries better, and is a better slicer. The longer blade, and thin design gives it a slight edge for me. Both are classics. I could be happy with either, but Thankfully have both, and a Chaparral in the mix. :D
Spyderco just makes sooooo many GREAT knives. Above all, I like the fact that Spyderco is a family business that promotes family values. When I see a picture of Sal giving Eric a hug it makes me wish I could be doing the same with my son....and daughters.
I carry my Sage 1 when the mood strikes me. However, my Caly Jr. is my constant EDC companion. It has a sharper point, back lock, tip down carry, lightweight FRN, and superthin profile. The Chaparral has almost identical ergos as the S1, only in a smaller, thinner, backlock package.
My 3 is the most used Sage for me. I have used it quite a bit, and used it hard. I have chipped/rolled the edge a handful of times, dirtied and cleaned it several times, gotten the internals a little rusty and cleaned it back up (now smoother than when I got it and lock action is easier). It is one of my go to dirty work knives. I swapped clips with the Junior which is a non low-rider wire clip because I find myself wearing gloves out in the yard with this knife often. The only problem I have ever had was after I cut some tough media that required a lot of down force, I actually got the lock stuck with the knife open. I guess I opened the knife slightly more than normal and the bolt got jammed in a little deeper. I have since grown to enjoy 3.5" knives, so it doesn't see much pocket time, but it has proven itself to be a good reliable knife.
