At this pace, my wife is going to need a third job. :p I'm gonna have to sweep out the doghouse, and buy some more mosquito repellant. :D

Were which ones priced the same as KC? Spyderco sells their own stock at MSRP (unless on sale) from the Spyderco Factory Outlet (SFO). These are listed as "out of stock" on their website (pic above) because I don't think they've released any stock of them yet period (not that they were all bought up in the last day).

KC put up their pre-order a few months ago at $211 (put mine in at the end of May after waffling over the price), but I don't know exactly when they first put them up for pre-order. Maybe that info is in that older Domino thread somewhere. Some other sites have them listed but are not accepting pre-orders (haven't checked them in last few days to see if that's changed). Hope that helps (and please anyone correct me if I'm wrong! :) ).

FYI, some dealers are notorious for over-selling their pre-orders, in relation to their initial allotment...

(Deflating balloon sound...) How's KC's history with this sort of thing?

I can't remember, as it hasn't happened to me (I've never placed a pre-order, with anyone, yet), so I didn't want to guess...

(I feel like it was KC, but I don't really want to call them out, without first-hand experience...)

I just wanted to let you newer guys know about some of the things that occur around sought-after releases...

Well, fingers crossed I guess. Thankfully it'll be a regular offering, and not be limited to 700–800 pieces that will be gone in a matter of hours only to appear on the 'bay days after at twice the cost... Already saw the first blue Millie S90V already posted there, speak of the devil...

Wait, this Domino isnt any Sprint Run or special run? If it is just a production item, then why pre-order?

For the win.

It is regular production like the Southard. Will be made in batches I presume. Once the first batch sells out, aint no telling how long the wait will be for the next.

And judging buy the on-line hype surrounding this one and even more importantly the fact that it is us not spyderco creating that excitement, i expect it to sell out almost as fast as the forum knife

Hopefully Spyderco is anticipating the demand, and is scheduling production accordingly.

I predict a bit of a feeding frenzy when these are released. I would really like to try one but I will probably wait til the hoo-hah dies down and get one second hand.

I was thinking the same thing. It does seem a bit high for XHP steel, but at least it's an upgrade over S30V. I'll still buy one. I am more worried about the higher prices on the Japanese knives that seem to be coming out. We aren't getting any new cool steels (same ol' VG10) but the prices are going up. This to me makes the USA and Taiwan knives a better value.

Sorry to get everyone excited prematurely! I check their site about twice a day, and will let you know when I see it change from that sad red "Out of Stock" note  in the quantity box to something we can really get excited for... :D

Just handled one today at the Outdoor Retailer Show in SLC. It flips open effortlessly. It's also easy to open using the Spydie hole. I was very impressed by it. Really cool texture on the CF scale, too.

Well, so much for helping me restrain my anticipation levels!
