Thanks, Wouter! That's a long way to travel just to get the flu. Hope you feel better soon, Brother!

First off, thanks for the vids. These are great for those of us that can't or didn't make it to SHOT.

Why would you need a 4 way reversable clip on an Emerson opener? I thought the point of the opener was only effective in tip up carry? If you plan to go tip down, then won't the opener become useless?

Hey Jtoler_9, I think that is because the Matriarch uses the handle of the Endura 4.

Argh. I kind of want the Goddard sprint.. but what if a better sprint comes out!? Then again, what if I miss out on the Goddard, and the other sprints don't interest me!? My poor wallet can't buy two.. can it?

MSRP on the Goddard is $124,95, retail should be around $80 or maybe lower. So shouldn't be to hard on the wallet :)

Conspiracy Time: so maybe since only 1 person, a forum member, got to take videos of the booth and prototypes that are usually never released before the amsterdam meet up, maybe the epic conclusion to this thread will be a vid and announcement about the forum knife by a forum member.

Spyderco 2013 Prototype Video – Karahawk

#37

Post by Mr Blonde »

The upcoming Karahawk should be interesting to all the hawkbill and karambit fans. Compared to the older Spyderco Warren Thomas Karambit, the Karahawk felt like a much lighter and more compact design. I’m not a karambit aficionado, but I had no trouble drawing and gripping this knife in both forward and reverse grips. The ergos were excellent.

Yep, I did see it but didn't get to handle it or anything; too many 'real customers' and distributors crowding that case when I got there. I hope to get a proper look, and pics, of it at the Amsterdam Meet.
