I've put in a preorder for both from KW, not sure if they'll get enough in to fill all the orders.

I think KW is pretty good about not taking preorders for more knives than they expect to receive. KC, on the other hand, often takes more preorders than they can fill (but at least they don't require a deposit, they pre-authorize the charge on your credit card but don't actually charge it until it is ready to ship).
Which Knife, A or B? get Both! (and C, D and E) :)

Has anyone heard how many of each sprint are being produced?

The difference between 600 and 1000 can be the difference between being gone already and being around for another week or two.

I'd probably be willing to put money on that.

Just got the email we like to see from KC:
Your KnifeCenter.com Order # 411xxx Has Shipped!
The group my pre-order was in was apparently their second shipment of the Caly3 SB from Spyderco. There was another earlier this week.

I got a e-mail from The Spyderco Store that the Caly and Calypso were available with free shipping, so I snagged the Calypso. Might not have done it if it had not been for the tax return I will get and I found out yesterday that I am getting my 6% pay cut back from a few years back.

I really really want the Caly 3....like a lot. But I have a feeling that I will miss out on it. No cash for a few weeks until my new job cashola starts coming in. Kinda sucks eggs...but I guess that we can't get them all!

The Calypso...I like it and I want it...but I'm ok with not getting it.

Wow! That full size Calypso is beautiful. If that was around in 92 I likely never would have gotten Enduras in my blood so badly that I have to carry one no matter what other knife I carry. It's a beautiful knife that is got a " where have you been all my life?" feeling going in me.

Very nice stuff!

I heard... that there are 1000 of each sprint this year.

Until we hear differently, we'll assume 1000 each.

Thanks so much! Just placed an order for both, now they're down to 4 ea. I hedged my bets with KW since I haven't heard anything from their preorders, so I might be ending up with a few extra knives. Not that that's a bad thing...

The best thing about those guys is they're only 2 hours away so with any luck, they'll be in my mailbox tomorrow afternoon.
