After my previous post on this particular thread (Manix 2) about how I always carry my standard Manix 2 as opposed to my new Sprint Run with CTS-BD30P , I have decided to start carrying my Manix 2 Sprint Run w/ Carpenter CTS-BD30P steel. And I have to say .....I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS KNIFE AND I LOVE THIS STEEL !!! The G10 handle with it's coarser texture is awesome and very well-made. The blade with it's FFG is phenomenal and the CTS-BD30P steel is a fantastic blade steel. I agree that it's right up there with S30V. Maybe surpassing it but time will tell. And the lighter weight due to the skeletonized liners make it easier in my pocket. The Ball Bearing Lock is currently my favorite lock on the market so I am thrilled to have it on my Manix 2 Sprint Run. Any variation of the Manix 2 just has to have it.

I love the original Manix 2 and I always will. But this 2011 Sprint Run is fast becoming my new obsession. Spyderco 4 life !!!

I like the Manix 2. I think I originally got it because it was marketed as a hard use knife. In my opinion it isn't a hard use knife but a tough light to medium duty knife. The sprints are very light and easy to carry for the amount of cutting power they offer.
