Throw away boxes? Never!! I even have the brown butcher paper that my Randall Made Knives came wrapped in. I admit there is a fine line between a hoarder and a collector, but I think I am still a collector.

Wait, Spydercos are supposed to come in boxes?

As soon as I start using a knife, the box gets the boot. 500 square foot condo with the wife, dog, and two cats. Maybe I'd keep them if I could flatten them out without damage.

My only frustration is that my new Manix box had a small orange sticker over the word Manix, when I went to peel it off, it peeled the word Manix with it - grrr. I like seeing the names on my spydie boxes.

I keep all the boxes I get with a knife purchase. Two reasons; first they add value in the event of a sale, second, they preserve the knife identification. The knife stays in its box. Storage may eventually be a problem. I have over 100 new Spydies and about 15 users. Also maybe 40 lesser brands.... ;-)

I've got the box for every knife I own that was sold with a box -- no matter the manufacturer/maker.

The only "loose" knives that I have were purchased without packaging, used (without original packaging), or in clamshell packaging.

I keep my boxes, except for a rare occasion where I pick up a Spydie at a gun show and the seller doesn't have it.
