Jack, the Bradley is not the only M4 Spydie to date, there is also the Military.
My experiance with my Mili is like unit says, if you use it, clean it & keep an eye on it because it is in hand many times during the day, then rusting is not an issue. I am sure that the steel will not dissapoint you if you replicate the factory angles when sharpening. HAPPY M4ing :D

Don't forget the limited run M4 Manix2 from Bento Box if anyone isn't on that list. Some could care less but it should be pretty cool with tan G10 :) .

I have one pre-ordered. That is why I got a little concerned when I read a couple of other thread about M4 this morning. Up till this morning I've never heard anything but good things about the Manix 2 and M4. Now I am back to waiting with very high hopes and eagerness to get my invoice from bentobox for the Manix 2. My knife related buying is on hold until I get my hands on that knife. When I read the description of the knife there is not one feature that I don't love about it. Great steel, FFG, G-10, ergonomics, etc.

So that's where it is. I heard about pre-orders but didn't realize it was an exclusive. I'm tempted . . .
Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.

Tempted? I think we know what that means. Let us know when you pre-order it. :D

If I like the Manix 2 M4 as much as I think I will I'm probably going to get the one with 154CM steel also. I'll be able to wait a while for that one though because it is in normal production (unless it gets black listed at the end of the year). That way I'll have two Manix 2s but a little different.

Just in case anyone hasn't seen a picture of it, here...

I'm glad this is a forum and not a knife show. I don't like people to see me drooling in public. :D

PS
I think the color looks more brown to me than tan. Just an observation or opinion but I don't care. Also this may be a prototype.

I ordered mine before seeing it also. My son was at my house one day and I was telling him about it and that I had even emailed Spyderco for a picture and never got one. He used his phone to google "Spyderco manix 2, M4" or something like that and had this picture emailed to me in less than one minute.

I have the M4 Millie and it has been a great blade. I even use it to debone chickens without any damage to the edge. That's saying a lot for a higher Rc. I AM excited about my M4 Manix as well.

The color on that picture is probably not what the final product will look like. Unfortunately the picture isn't even "real".

It's from this website: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cryptomnesia/5494401821/
The guy who made the picture said, "this is a fake i photoshopped to get an idea of what this sprint run will look like."

That's interesting, I've been on the pre-order for a while and I didn't get an email.

I'm thinking the picture means it is getting close to being out. :)

I re-read, not close to being out and I shouldn't have gotten an email. Sorry for misreading.

did they send you a pre-order confirmation email? if so, your waiting for the release like the rest of us. they claim end of march/early april, but i automatically assume at least a one month delay.

My understanding is we will get an invoice from paypal when the knives are available. OH NO! not another month? This is the first knife I've ever ordered and waited for it to be released. Do they normally get delayed?

I can't believe my son gave me a counterfiet picture of the M4 Manix. I'll have to warn the stores in town to check his money. :D
