Opening and closing my Spyderco knives
It would seem to me that these great knives are made to take a certain amount of abuse. My EDC is either a plain or combo edge Endura 4 with Emerson opener. Now I don't constantly use the opener, but I'd say it's about 50/50 opener/thumbing. I would imagine using the opener is about the same as flicking with the wrist. I have two years on my combo edge and haven't had a problem yet. The only reason I bought the plain edge was because it was a good deal.
