If kept simple - as in just a small bug on left front with "Forum 2010" or some such brief tag line under it. Or maybe even put the tag line off center on the back (shoulder blade) … but keep the bug small, like about 2-3" across.

Embroidered would be even cooler - classier, and I'd be willing to pay the increased cost.

Definitely, just a decent sized bug in the front with maybe a web pattern, like on the top of this page, and a small Spyderco Forums text in the back or on the sleeve or shoulder.
People will think you're just another forum geek. :D

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings...

But, after inquiring of the fine folks at Spyderco... (I was interested in doing badges)

Unless they specifically authorize it, none of their trademarks can be used. So, page 88 of their catalog is a guide to what cannot be used.

Which means, unless I am mistaken, that you couldn't even put the word 'Spyderco' on a shirt, without their permission, which I have been informed, they are not offering.

Which also kills my badge idea.

Anyway, thought I would share that.

Best,
Marion

If I understand correctly, this thread was just a plea to Spyderco to consider the idea of a forum shirt if no forum knife could be made this year. Permission would need to be granted before this idea took off as stated in cosmo7809's original post. I just jumped the gun and decided to make a design I had thought up while reading this thread.

Nice work ICSK.

I'm not sure about a forum shirt, but I'd definatly be in for a "regular" Spydie shirt as I'm not too fond of the current "Steel Junkie" T's.

Ah, my mistake.

If Spyderco decided to do that, it would be cool.

And, I like your design, well done.

As noted my first post was just a "feeler"

I was hoping someone from the spyderco crew posts in this thread but I know they are very busy so I dont hold anything against them.

As I can see there is a demand for the shirts and I think we would have no issues for quantity.

Love the concept! How about white shirt, black lettering except for the center belly, and make that red, in an hourglass pattern....like a real black widow spider?

We'd still need to wait for Spyderco to OK the idea of a forum shirt. I just threw that design out there because I thought it'd make a great 2010 forum shirt

Posted this on another thread....I think the shirt idea is a great idea!...Doesn't have to be a forum shirt....Spyderco could sell it on the net and in their store...I think it would go over big.....I also like the design posted in this thread....

I need a Spyderco T-shirt that says "My Parents went to Golden Colorado and all I got was this Stinkin Spyderco T-Shirt with all these holes in it" !!!!!!......Doc :D

Thanks for that informative post, but shipping from China would take a while.
