Right now, FRN scales seems like the only possibility.

Sal,

Does running low mean not many were made, or that ongoing production volume will be light?

As far as FRN, I would love that in purple or orange with the Calypso Jr. fishscale pattern, VG10 or S30V aand screw construction. Made wherever.

Running low means we're not making enough margin. We believe the model concept is sound and we're willing to work towards the best solution.

We were thinking an FRN scale that felt like G-10.

I've seen some knives that have simulated G-10 in FRN, very good idea, in fact I could see that working on several of the G-10 models to lower cost.

The Urban is now on the "New Knives" section of the catalog home page. I guess that makes it official. Ordered one earlier today; now more waiting.

I like the sound of that - I hope it pans out well. G-10 is hands down my favorite material, but if you can replicate the texture of the G-10 in the economy of an FRN medium, I can see it being very successful.

Try Knifeworks.com. That is where I got my Orange Urban. They are good people to deal with.
