In my neck of the woods (Lowgap, NC) we have a really large population of Black Widows. I mean... they are everywhere. On the upside, the really keep the buzzing-bug population down, and as long as you are careful about where you stick your hand (always look first!) you wont have any problem. They are actually a really beautiful creature, if you think about it. :spyder:
