Blade tightness on SS handles

Closure. I sent back my D'fly to see if it was in spec and it is. They were great about getting in touch with me and letting me know. I guess SS versions have stronger springs in the lockback than the FRNs - I dont know. What I do know that it is not the tightness of the pivot since when the lock is fully depressed, the blade swings/pivots pretty freely. It is the strenghth of the lockback/spring. I will keep working it. My big question is why does this seem to be a SS phenomenon? Why would the lockback spring force be greater in SS versions vs. FRN?? Im fine with the knife now, but I am curious as to why this appears to be so.
