Forever a Student and Teacher

I've formally studied martial arts for 15 years (primarily Jiu-Jitsu, Eskrima and Martial Blade Concepts). Before that it was growing up on the streets of Harlem/South Bronx and a stint in the military.

The more I learn the more I realize that my knowledge and expertise covers just a small slice of what there is to know. Instructing has been a tremendous learning experience.

My Dear Friends,

I am a longtime student of Chang Wu Chi Lin Chu'an Kung Fu, but I also study Albo Kali Silat with KaliGman at every opportunity; he is a treasure-trove of Martial knowledge, an esteemed knifebrother and a good friend.

Jiu Jitsu. Been doing loads of other things in the mean time (Judo, Aikido, Kung Fu, Pencak Silat) but enjoyed Thai-boxing the most. I did some of that at the same time.
Makes a good mix though, jitsu + thai boxing. You get the "fight" and cardio from the TB, and all the dirty tricks and groundwork from the JJ.

I'll probably change the JJ to BJJ (brazilian Jiu jitsu), it's a tad harder on the body (the lessons here that is), and the trainingtimes are better for me.
But at the moment I'm "just" studying hard at home, working, and "waiting".

I'll probably start excercising again in a few weeks (I hope).

I play a lot with blades, but would not call that a study at the moment :D
