:spyder: :spyder:  :spyder: :spyder: I wonder what type of lock are you looking for, and blade steel; However, my sugjestios are the Atr, the Chinook, the Manix/full&mini, and D'allara. All excellent choices for hard use, and give you a variaty of lock types. I hope the mini Manix will satisfy your cutting purposes; I own one, and carry it often! Don't let the term 'mini' intimadate you...It is just as   SHARP, and brutil as the full size!

Paramilitary

Unless I'm mistaken, no one has mentioned the Paramilitary. Blade length of under 4", open back, comp lock, S30V steel with spine and choil jimping, ergonomic G-10 scales...what more could you ask for? The very first day I got my PE Para, I gave it a nice hard workout doing lawn chores and repairing sprinkler stuff - lots of grit, grime, sandy dirt and cutting of plastic pipes and some foliage. I actually thought I busted the tip a couple of times while I had the blade inserted between some torn sprinkler pipe and pvc pipe. I was twisting the blade pretty hard in an attempt to cut the torn, threaded piece so I could remove it and heard it pop, but it wasn't the blade, thank goodness. Para's are seriously under-appreciated, if you ask me.
