+ 1 for a zippered!

an expansion of an idea - why doesn;t it have specialized pockets for knives to be cliped in? maybe "Spyderco" on one sleeve and a long, slender pocket on the other sleeve on the upper arm to clip a knife in? I think the would be a nice touch. Or maybe a ridge for clipping in the big pockets in the front? Just something to make it exclusive to Spyderco :)

I'd love to own a spyderco pullover... wouldn't really buy a zippered sweater though...

My vote is for a charcoal grey zippered hoodie., with the outline of the Spyderbug drawn on the back in matte black.

+1 for LOOKABIRD's idea about pockets for knives. Perhaps a small pouch in the front so that you could have a folder in a crossdraw position. (I feel my explanation is inadequate for what I'm trying to convey)

I normally don't buy company clothing; but if Spyderco made this hoodie something unique to them for, uh, certain reasons, I would definitely buy one!

Having it on the outside would be interesting, but as I said before, I'd prefer them on the inside. Reason being that in places *cough* NYC *cough* an exposed clip will lead to trouble. Evidently this won't work with a pullover though.

Well, what I was thinking was have a pocket-inside-a-pocket, of sorts.

Basically I'm thinking a pocket where you could clip your Spydie, and then another piece of fabric (which would actually be the main piece of fabric composing the hoodie) over the clip so that all that would be visible would be a small slit in your hoodie, but you could reach in to grab your knife.

Sorry if my explanation is somewhat confusing. I'll try to come up with some sort of illustration.

So far the main problem seems to be that we can't decide on zippered or pullover. I like zippered myself, but it seems we're about evenly divided on this.

Spyderco makes Spyderedge and plain edged knives...who says they can't make a pullover and a zippered model of the Spyderhood? I say we can have both!

Great, now I'm singing "It's a beautiful day in the Spyderhood, a beautiful day in the Spyderhood" :D

I like half zip pull overs, any color but black.
BTW Wearguard makes a really nice halfzip.I have a few of them with the Pepsi logo I wear as a winter uniform.Spyderco can have them make some up with the Spyderco logo with out much trouble.I would guess they would run about 50.00 each.
Heres a link.
They are 39.99 but the logos are extra and Spyderco would have to make a profit.
I have 5 or 6 of these in my closet right now and I will say that they are top quality.
I like the Navy or Green

Here's The Tally So Far

#32

Post by fellyjr »

The votes are in and here are the results so far:

Those that prefer full zippers - 13

Those that prefer pullovers - 11

Those that didn't specify - 4

Those that mentioned the need for both - 2

Those that prefer half zipper - 1

I just did the math and we have 6,472 Forum Members that haven't voted yet.

I'd get a Spyderco hoodie.
Pull over or zip up I don't care just as long as I get something to keep me warm that says Spyderco.

+1 on Spyderpockets.
Some on the inside and out would be good. The outside pockets could be designed to keep the entire knife in the pocket to avoid the NYC issues, and stay discreet in general.

Interesting notion, but not my area of experience.

I have called the thread to the attention of Kelly, Joyce and Eric. Their decision.

Will collector club members get numbered hoodies?

Or will they be considered a "variant" of the t-shirt?

I would think the hoodie would be a main piece, being that it would be the first numbered garment. ;) :D

I would prefer full zip, darker color.
And please, make it available in Czech Republic - knife dealers don't want to import it, because they don't have license for importing clothing :( .
...but no, no, you know it all, it's harmless little bunny...
