Thank you kindly Ron.

It got pretty excited to have the hawk so close and actually get it on camera. It is a thrilling experience to rub elbows with a avian predator.

Shot some pics of a family of river otters this morning but they were too dark. However, the movies, even though at a distance aren't bad.

I get plenty of heron photos myself - though I always am trying for something better....eagles I never see around here, so I'll take any chance I get to capture some pictures of them....thankfully, I have some of the longest lenses available for a Canon 35mm SLR - though no matter what you have, you always want longer, faster glass.

A few Bald Eagles visit the refuge I frequent. I've seen two adults and one immature bird. They are so large and with the adult's snow white head and tail they leave an impression. There is a refuge, about 15 miles from me in Hillsboro, with a 1500 lb nest on display.

Your hummingbird photo made my day. You really know how to inspire. Congratulations on capturing a feeding hummingbird. I appreciate your good work.
