Please guys. This is very serious. We have one shot at this. This is our opportunity to finally be taken seriously in the community. I believe wool and flannel micarta are fantastic ideas. Possibly figure out a way to put it on a Pochi and we are in business. Or maybe a Dodo would be more fitting.

What about a trainer, we could call it the drawer trainer(only sharpen the spine) with reverse glow-in-the-dark scales! Like it only goes off when the drawer is opened, not unlike a refrigerator light coming on once the door is opened. That way all of our other knives can be illuminated while they scurry around our hosiery. This could impede the nasty effect of tool steels mysteriously going dull during non-use! This notorious gremlin would be put at bay by the glorious illumination of the MNOSD forum knife! :thinking

I don't know how you could possibly get any more serious than wool flannel micarta on a Pochi or a Dodo. Those options just scream "serious" to me.

The posts of late are just brilliant ideas, one after another. A true renaissance. My only worry is that some rival gang (like those bastards in the MNSOD or the MNDOS) will steal them. Our only course is to implement, before they can.

Well dang, what's the requirements for membership of the order of the sock drawer?
This just made my day ! We hit 50 members with a great guy ! 0002
Amazing! Welcome aboard 0050, honored to be in your presence. It is my privilege to second your motion to instate Leonardo honorary membership status on the basis of his legendary contributions to the arts and sciences. I believe a specialty pair of socks would be in order.

Perhaps a vintage raw denim micarta would be more fitting? To celebrate our achievements why not go with a hawkbill, yet better reverse S to attract as many potential purchasers as we can?

Only if there are matching denim socks available. That's the beauty of wool (winter sock) micarta, which is a much better suggestion than my idea, which was athletic sock micarta.

Amazing oh great 0003, expertise all-over. Is there a unanimous vote requirement for honorary membership?

Agreed, do let me know if there's anything that requires sourcing. There is a local collector who has numerous vintage denim samples, perhaps he can provide me with a lookbook to see which tickle your fancy? He ís notoriously elusive to track down being semi-nomadic and all. Standby...

Quick update, after spending all day in bed I was unable to make contact with our local collector. Not sure what went wrong... carry on and do forgive my rude interruption. Blessed weekend to all!

If I prefer to buy my socks at Costco in bulk, am I still welcome here?

Or do I need to be as careful and conscientious about my sock purchases as my knife purchases?

Well you know how it is, the ankle cut Pumas for athletic wear and the Weatherproofs for boots. But what I'm really waiting for is to stock up on the merino wool for winter.

So I guess what I'm saying is put me down for the wool micarta, but I'll also take some flannel if there's an overrun.

These are wise and worthy sock decisions . I commend your selections , not too flashy to attract attention. Wise sock habits . 0002

Oh boy, oh boy. What a week it has been. I cannot keep up with all the action going on here. We in the Accounting Department are working hard to get all the information cataloged. And the new member orientation team will be sending out welcome packets to all our new members (with the contract signing over all your property and belongings to the Order) shortly. Be on the look out. The last thing you want, is that contract falling into the wrong hands.

Welcome new member #0051!
