ImageImage I decided to take a back road coming home to check a creek and right off the road were two Bald Eagles . This is the closest I have been near a Bald Eagle , quite an experience, Dan .

Winters here in Deep East Texas are mild
but my pond froze over yesterday morning.
This Blue Heron cloaked in its wings
standing on the ice on one foot
is huddled by the earth dam against the north wind
where he can get the first rays of the rising sun.
The fuzzy picture was shot from 180 yards with my iPhone 6
held against a Celestron Inspire telescope.
