Some time out in the sunshine

Warhammer 40000 is- basically- Lord Of The Rings on a cocktail of every drug known to man and genuine lunar dust, stuck in a blender with Alien, Mechwarrior, Dune, Starship Troopers, Fahrenheit 451 and Star Wars, bathed in blood, turned up to eleventy billion, set on fire, and catapulted off into space screaming "WAAAGH!" and waving a chainsaw sword- without the happy ending.

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Sunay Night here and another great week of pics, honestly hard to pic, however there has to be a winner and for me it's got to be this excellent pic by Mad Mac, Love the steel grain almost blending into the wood grain.
Runner up in a similar theme like the colours and tones in this one, well done Spydernut:Mad Mac wrote:

It was another week of great photos. Mad Mac's photo would have been my first choice as well. Congratulations Mad Mac and SpyderNut. :)

Congratulations, Mad Mac! I love the contrast of grind lines and wood grain in your picture. Have you considered entering this picture in the 2017 Calendar Contest?
Thank you also, Thorien and Remnar. :) I am pleased you liked it.

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Thank you. That is very kind of you. As with all my photographs, the picture was made with an iPhone4s and I do not think it can meet the final print image minimum guidelines for the calendar contest. I have another camera, an Olympus PEN E-PL6, that should be satisfactory. Maybe I can do a picture with it.SpyderNut wrote:Congratulations, Mad Mac! Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!
Yeah, that grain is phenomenal!
As soon as I saw you stepped it up from that Double Bevel shot I liked and posted this one of the GB, I knew it was over and you had won, lol! Nice work!
Without actually counting, from what I remember seeing as winners in this thread, I'd almost bet money that the Gayle Bradley designs have won the most... maybe...
Those Schempps are quite a duo as well!
