Just heard a segment on the Pat McAfee show talking about the Washington Commanders, and he brings up a very good point that I don’t know how I didn’t think of… what is their nickname going to be? It won’t be the Washington ‘Manders… most likely going to be the Washington Commies?! :exploding-head

I think the nickname "Redskins" would work just fine! (they'll always be the Redskins to me)

The Washington Commanders, Commies for short. Surely they could have seen that coming. Hilarious!

I've been looking at all those Super Bowl Rings.
Out of the 60's and 70's I like the 1970 Colts the best, then the 1976 Raiders followed by my birth year the 1971 Cowboys ring.
Pittsburgh's rings looked like gaudy classic rings imo.
Even their 5th and 6th Super Bowl rings could've been a bit better imo.

I listen to sports radio everyday. Had to turn it off today. All drama and no sports.

Wa wa wa, Tom didn’t thank the pats fans. Boo hoo.

The league is corrupt and shady. Wow, breaking news!

I had to take a break last year too because it was all covid, politics and blm. I tune in to hear about sports, specifically the playing of them and not all the nonsense surrounding them. The super bowl is in a week. Can they talk about that? How about hockey or basketball?

Sorry, wanted to vent. They are messing up my work routine. ;)

Same here, I listen to local sports radio here everyday and the past few days have been unbearable with all the crying about Brady not thanking the Patriots. They’re on the air doing nothing but whining about fans whining about Brady, yet they’re the ones that have stretched three days worth of radio out of it all.

In sports related news, it was cool to see Mac Jones end up in the Pro-Bowl, even though it was just as an alternate. Definitely makes me more likely to actually watch this year.

I can't listen to sports radio anymore or watch ESPN. They are all wrong and I am always right 😂

Oh except the Bengals are the home team even though they're not 🤯

I love the irony of that. The SuperBowl is being played in the Rams home stadium but they’re technically considered the away team! :grin-squint

Have y'all seen the visitor's locker room at Sofi? It's like a maze, they can't even conduct a team meeting bc they can't all fit/be able to see each other. But apparently there are 3 locker rooms... Chargers, Rams, Visiting team. Hopefully neither team gets that "strategically designed" visitor's locker room.

That's just incredible that a place that freakin huge they can't get the visiting locker room right.
Gruden called it a maze too, and I believe Mike Zimmer said it was just a mess, lol.

I hate the pro bowl. They should make the 2 worst teams in the NFL that season play a game instead and whoever wins gets the #1 pick.

I kind of like this one. :cheap-sunglasses

Sometime in the 1980s, when I was young and impressionable, I was listening to sports radio and Coach Switzer was asked about the wishbone offense and it’s success. Switzer said. “It is not about the alignment but about the alignees”. That has stuck with me to this day. This kind of comes back around to this whole coaching carousel that happens every year in the NFL.
