Everything is going up these days, just have to get used to it folks!
^Hmmm... Perhaps you could get in touch with the folks that pay me and explain that to them.^^^

Are folk all over getting pay increases? That'd be fantastic if so! Betting a lot of folks could "get used" to that ;)

Woah, I wasn't trying to be a jerk or anything when I said that. I was just stating the truth/facts. Literally everything seems to be more expensive lately, which I can understand from businesses trying to recover from the pandemic, resources be tapped or backlogged because "employees" would rather collect that unemployment instead of getting their a$$es back to work, slowing down production on many things. I'm experiencing that first hand at work with companies like FedEx and UPS struggling to get employees back, in turn making my job much more difficult and frustrating.

Of course we would all like raises, or higher raises to counter inflation. It's just the cold reality right now.

I'm wondering how this will go. Such a cool and unique knife for sure, so that should bring in sales...that steep price though, could be a problem. It will definitely sell out, curious how long it will take though.

Regardless I love that they went outside box, as others have said...it's awesome to see some different models getting the exclusive love lately! It's got the steel and color combo that people drool over!

I didn't take it as you trying to be a jerk, and neither was I. We're all good on/from my side bud :)

Many, if not all, of us are "experiencing it first hand" in one way or another.

On this run of Tuff(s)
I am curious to the Specs on it. Still a nearly 1 inch ricasso? Still a 3" cutting edge? Still a 0.16 inch thick blade? That's thicker than a PM2 or Para 3 blade if so, with a cutting edge of the PM2.

I hope it's ground thinner than the original, which has a (Surprising for an Ed Schempp design) rather poor edge geometry.
I mean, it's supposed to be tuff

Neat knife but, if I'm going to spend that kind of money, I think I'd rather have an original. We'll see, I may feel differently at go time

I always wanted a tuff so I plan on getting one.

Is $315 msrp or map?

$315 is what DLT is selling it for.

Im assuming that means the street price is $315.

On their website it just says $315 each.

Edit.
Ok, yeah, I never realised how expensive the original one was. So that has to be street price.
Well its a grail for me so I am still going to try.

Kind of happy that I skipped out on the phoenix now.

I agree the original was very thick behind the edge, but that was understandable given the nature of the beast.

I thinned mine a bit, basically just convexed the bevel shoulders away. This simple mod makes it much more enjoyable to use as a knife, without reducing robustness too much. It is still a monster, but suits me better now.

The exclusive looks like a winner!

On the bladeforums thread DLT said it also has a steel lockbar insert.
So thats cool.
They also said its cpm cruwear, even though the blade just says cruwear.

I kinda wish it had the dimples though.

For those who haven’t handled the Tuff before, I would compare it as follows in terms of blade stock and weight and general “robustness”:
- The Shaman is one level up compared to the G10 Manix.
- The Tuff is one level up compared to the Shaman.

Then, of course:
- The CPM-3V Tuff is “more tough” than the CPM-Cruwear one! :p

I am in the group 'not for me, but super happy to see it being revived' - A bit too thick & heavy, but love the overall design. I can only say - Dear DLT, thank you, please keep at it - Mr. Schempp did several SUPER cool designs for Spyderco :)

Honestly considering trying for one of these if it does have a lockbar insert….
