[quote="zenheretic"]Since I know Sal is in to diving, I would assume it has been thought of]
Yes, the diving knives are somewhat unusual - I have never seen, neither in reality nor in movies, so curved knives (blade/handle). The Perrin hole is a new feature in diving knives, or is that a trick to make knife lighter? Spyderco tends to make light fixed blades and heavy folders (cf. a Perrin Street Bowie with a Chinook folder). I bet, the thickness in H1 Dive is 3 mm, not more. And, I bet, the H1 Utility is not a full tang construction.
Ted, is a H1 Utility also in the 4" range? Thickness?

Just to clear up the names a bit for the new Salt models...
Shown in Wouter's picture here are the Aqua Salts. Utility Blades, FRN Scales. SKU will be FB23SBK/SYL & FB23PBK/PYL.
These are the Caspian Salts. SKUs FB21P Caspian Salt and FB22P Blunt Tip Caspian Salt

Mr Blonde wrote:Yet more H1, the (Caspian?) H1 Utility knives. The Vagabond roots are clearly visible, but that’s where it ends. The blades were slightly blade-heavy and balanced very nice. I want one!

And of course these are the Saver Salts, C118SYL / C118SBK.Mr Blonde wrote:The H1 Dive Knives, with and without a tip. These were a bit bigger than I expected. They felt like real work knives in the hand.

Mr Blonde wrote:More H1, the Saver Salts! I hoped for a Salted Rescue 79mm and now we’re going to get one. I’m really looking forward to this one….as well ….. I know. :D

There is nothing more important than this one day.
I thought that Ladybug 3 in the Catalog has only 4 teeth. But the proto has 5 teeth. Anyone notice this?Mr Blonde wrote:The Ladybug 3 in both FRN and SS versions. These will be mandatory items for me. I hope we can convince the Spydercrew to make a special run or two in the future, I like to see some colors in this model.
Wouter
I would love to see various handle of Ladybug in the market soon, Micarta, G-10, would be cool.

Great job Wouter, great work Spyderco
Hi Wouter, thank you for the great pics and for the comments. Looks like you had some fun there...
I love Ed's knife. And the Byrd Robin and Flight, and...
I wonder if there was also any "secret" stuff. You know, new models you're not supposed to take pics of.

i really want a blunt tip caspian (dive) knife -- that tip just begs to be used as a light-use pry tool!
