ZDP-189 Superhawk with G-10 scales.

If they would do one in Spyderedge with ZDP with a G-10 handle I would grab one in a nano-second. Why the original run of the Superhawk was never available in Spyderedge still baffles me to no end..

We need more Hawkbills ( especially the HaRPY) with G-10 handles really bad. We haven't had one in quite some time.

To me a Hawkbill without a Spyderedge is like a flashlight without batteries :rolleyes:

I would even like to see something like the Superhawk with a G-10 handle, Spyderedge and a Marlinspike. That would be a fisherman's dream blade and a utility blade extraordinaire.

A serrated one in G10 and VG10 would be cool. I wouldn't personally want to deal with ZDP-189 and teeth. The payoff for a bit of edge retention (IMHO) wouldn't be there.

Surprised me quite a bit too. Given that Hawkbill and sheepsfoot blades are about the only models that consistently sell better in SE than PE, I'd have been far less surprised if Spyderedge had been the only edge type available.

Probably not. ZDP doesn't do well with teeth. We could probably make it work, but we'd have to lower the Rc to where the advantages of the steel would not be there.

I'll second that thought. I have become a recent lover of H1 and a thick stock version would be great. I still say an H1 FRCP Manix 2 in yellow or orange translucent handles would be a real people pleaser IMO.
