Still on vaca in Mammoth. In addition to continuing to refine my walking stick with my Para 2, I managed to give myself the biggest Spyder bite to date. Did a stupid push cut and nicked a 3/4" cut on the top of my index finger. Also, used my Temp 2 to cut two 16" sub sandwiches we made for lunch. 1- roasted chicken, sauteed onions, cheddar cheese and i - cappicola, mortadella, salami and pest. We ate them after a nice 2 hour hike up to a secluded lake. My Temp 2 likes being up in the mountains!!

Only thing I've cut today is a packet of stevia I wanted to try in my green tea. But it was tough, it wasn't gonna go down easy. Ladybug Salt prevailed in the end.
Yesterday I used my Pacific to cut back some brush while geocaching. Also used it to clear out some spider webs that were blocking the cache; better to send a Spyder to deal with spiders instead of my hand.

I'm glad this thread continues to be so hunger-inducing. That sounds like a very nice day!Pneumothorax wrote:Also, used my Temp 2 to cut two 16" sub sandwiches we made for lunch. 1- roasted chicken, sauteed onions, cheddar cheese and i - cappicola, mortadella, salami and pest. Late last night I made the best spaghetti I've ever had, with the help of my Micheal Walker and my black Manix 2. Best Spaghetti EVER! oh yea, and home-made garlic cheese bread, with like a quarter inch of cheese on top. MMmmmmm.... it's about time for leftovers!

At work- Cut up some apples on a tree I came across, sampled some interesting grasses, chopped some weeds, lent a knife to clean stick-seed off a coworker's plants, & opened up a packet of Gatorade; when I got home- cut some fresh tomatoes and Serranos in the garden.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

I hate to admit this but I was up almost late today for work and rolled without a Spyderco in pocket. I had to use a ****** box cutter for tasks better suited to a Caly 3. A Caly 3 CF ZDP laminated is currently my EDC.
? I always try and avoid cutting food unless it's on a cutting board. Ceramic/glass plates will roll the edge and the Caly 3 will cut through the food all the way to what's under any paper plate.
Tomarrow will be a double carry day to atone for today.

Not really all that slick

Cento 4.
Sharpened my pencil
Cut off dried foaming glue that came out joints overnight.
No more gaps that was all gunking up some door tracks.
Opened the cardboard packing & the plastic bags the new tracks came in.
Little furry bits of wood around screw recess holes.
Trimed to length bumper strips on door edges.
Cut the tip off a tube of no more gaps & angle cut its nozzle.
Carved assembly markings on back of new pelmets.
Sliced a tomatoe at lunch time.
Sticky tape.
Cut open a plastic glue bottle to get the last dregs out.
Dry wall cornice.
Opened my mail.
Sliced mettwurst that I ate while drinking beer.
