It’s a pile of pine cone scales the squirrels leave behind when they’re looking for pine nuts 🐿️

From recent hike to Comet Falls. The Van Trump trail to Comet Falls is rated hard so of course I went with the LW knife. And yes the short hike kicked my azz. Did 4.5 miles that day and I swear it felt like triple that on the way up. And then I still had to go back down.

Garret,

The Poliwog was one I took another gamble on, they have some with blade lockup issues, this one was no exception in that either. I bought this off ebay. Not cheap either lol.

I had to hone a little on the lock seer and then rag wheel buff the hound out of it, to make it lockup perfect. But it was one I just thought I had to have when I found it in the good blade steel. Thanks for looking at these little knives I have collected.

It's always nice to see models that are out of the ordinary. I think we have similar tastes. What's your opinion of this unit? I don't know anything about the problems with the Poliwogs. It looks good, but it makes me wary. https://www.ebay.com/itm/203839474295

Winner RevMikeImageImageRunner up barnaclesonaboat . Wonderful waterfall shot and the unique angle of the M2 caught my eye with the nice blade finish . I must say there were many potential winners this week all very impressive. I really appreciated the opportunity this week since the shots were of such high qualities and creative. Special thanks to my friend Jeb entering this week hope you post a shot again and same to all the entrants. Dan

Congratulations to the winners for sure, both of which are killer next level shots, if you ask me. Great choices for sure.

Vandy, your not alone, I don't think I suck at the pix, I know I do when you compare what I shoot to these guys here lol. Still I pic away and mess around with this stuff lol.

Garret, that Poliwog would be a great one also I figure, sure looks good and it's M4 steel which I really like. That guy is a good dealer also...

Wish all mine was DLC coated for better corrosion resistance, but a little more maintenance on my part will make up the difference, with the use of frog lube.

The Poliwog is a specialty knife that sure ain't for everyone, but I am just messed up and weird enough to love mine. It's just Razor sharp right now too after a new 15 dps bevel honed on it... Just have to love it.
