I finally scored a Magnacut Umnumzaan, after more than a year of casually looking for one.

Very nice! I've said it before, but every time I see a picture of the Zaan and it's not in my pocket I'm sad

Congrats Hans! Interested to hear your thoughts on it, as we seem to have/had a lot of the same CRK's over the past few years.

The WE SNECX might be the best knife no one seems to care about. Double row bearings, aggressive internal milling, and single lock/detent interface like CRK. The milled clip actually works well, but if it had a deep carry wire clip it would be perfect for me

Image
Snecx Tan is one of the best knife designers in the world right now, IMO. Same guy that designed the Vision / Vision FG for WE / Civivi, which is one of my favorite designs of all time. Between that and Kizer getting Jonathan Styles to make the Militaw for them, I had to retire my old USA-only knife policy. These knives are too good.

Congrats Hans! This is your first Zaan? Would be curious your thoughts on it over the other CRKs.

BTW, I like your plant.

Never have owned a pair of hedge trimmers, electric or otherwise :rofl This is more fun and I find it enhances the level of privacy neighbors offer ;)

I've had the Baryonyx for years - so glad I bought it. She's been the most dead useful knife I've ever owned - and sharp as **** too

Though I find the Matriarch to be an incredible folder for SOME yard work. When it comes to heavy lifting...my Kershaw Camp 10 has never failed. Bought this for around $30 like 8 years ago??

Looks well used! I have a scrapyard dogfather that's more along those lines, and they're nice for woodier growth.
