Oh guh. Haha. Well I'll save money on the Endura as it's a tad too long to carry where I live. That will help buy roses for the lady when the knife news hits the fan. :p

Thanks for the great photos Mr. Blonde. I predict a bit of a feeding frenzy when the Domino hits the street.

Oh, I see. Oh well, just have to wait then.

Thanks for taking the time to do all of this. It makes the best thread year after year. (I've been around longer than my join date).

I know what you mean about the kids too, my son keeps me busy..

P.S. The domino just went on my list also!!!!

I feel you. For whatever reason I just can't get excited about these laminates. Maybe a K294 like we talked about in an earlier thread. Make machining easier so we'll see a knife in this steel but Super Blue? I'm very glad the Calys were nekkid. ;)

IG-88 wrote:I asked Sal if it was 420 like the Caly 3 and he knew for sure it was not 420 but a much harder steel with the same harding cycles as Superblue after some thinking he said he thought it was ATS-34 but he was not 100% sure. Whats nice is that Sal also told Spyderco only uses 2 japanees company for the Superblue knives, Moki and Sakai. Moki stamps out the superblue blades, thats why they are solid Superblue but doesn't doe it for ZDP-189 and laminates the ZDP. Sakai on the other does the opposite. They prefer to laminate the Superblue and do the ZDP in one piece. Very funny IMO to see 2 maker with the same steel do just the opposite ;) And this is another trick to see where your blade is make. Laminted ZDP and full Superblue for Moki and Laminated Superblue and full ZDP for Sakai :) Thx Sal for sharing this knowledge!!
This is a very interesting point. I can have a full ZDP and a Laminated SB Stretch or I can have a full SB and a laminated ZDP Caly 3 / 3.5 (or I can have them ALL!) :D

Although I got rid of my Caly 3.5 in SB, I think I will need to make a purchase (or two ;) ) of the Delica in SB. I don't share the dislike for the lamination line. I think it looks subtle enough. What I do appreciate about it being laminated is the limit of corrosion on the blade. Living in Houston makes carrying and using SB during the humid summer months a bit of a pain with maintenance. This Delica should make keeping an eye on rust easier while allowing me to carry and use SB more often. Definite purchase, IMO. :D

Those Delicas are must haves. I didn't want a Superblue until now. Looks great and will be easier to take care of. Love the lamination lines. The Titanium one is beautiful! As for the Domino (I don't care for flippers at all, but anyway, it looks great), what I see is not a Manix lookalike, but I see Eric's design influence (style). Nice stuff!
- best wishes, Jazz.

I really like the Domino but that clip doesn't match the knife IMO. Maybe a shiny metal one would look better?

Domino is nice but just not my cup of tea. I would like to see another slim flipper, like the Southard. Maybe keep it a liner lock with plain G10 and XHP so it can be sold at a lower price. Thoughts?

Thanks again, Wouter. Your talent continues to amaze. ;)

The Domino looks sweet. I do think the liner looks really thick, maybe it's just the pictures. It would look better with a wire clip IMO. I'm curious what the weight will be.

Mr Blonde wrote:Darn it, one measurement I didn't think off. I can't really remember what the blade thicknes was, sorry. Perhaps one of the other attendees can help?
No worries, we'll find out eventually.
Would you, and the others handling it describe it belonging to "built like a small tank" category? Looks like it.. :) Hopefully it's an MBC-category knife. Just from the pics alone one can see that the SD qualities are right there. Maybe add some nice wooden scales, mmm... knife p*rn at its best :D

Can't wait to get my hands on the SB Delica!

I think it would look better with either a wire clip or taking the black coating off the one on there, like the one that comes on the

Everything looks great so far. However I think I must have misunderstood the intent of the Chaparral series. It was my understanding that each version was going to have a different handle material. The Chaparral 3 looks very nice, but to me, it's just a Chap 2 with different etching.
