Totally agree with you I have the same feeling about it, but like the performance... That why I like the Techno so much thick blade, FFG and still a great cutter. This blade is a Manix2 size would be wicked.

I think so, the Air is already 2.3mm and 1cm smaller

Not me. I LOVE super thin blades. I do like and own thicker blades for tougher tasks but my EDC chores don't need that.
I'm really wanting a super thin 3" super hard carbon steel slicer. Think Opinel but with a much higher end steel. Definitely sub 2mm. Super blue would be fine. M4 would rock or...

Me too, Ken. The Chaparral and Centofante III are currently the thinnest, both are 2mm. The Centofante Memory is next in line at 2.3mm. FWIW, my #8 Opinel is 1.8mm, so it's not that much thinner than the Chaparral, but it does have a zero edge, or near zero edge grind. I'd **** near kill for a Stretch with a 2mm blade, but I'd want stainless and wouldn't mind if the "wrapped" the tang with a piece of 1mm stock to give it a 4mm lock and thumb ramp.

Technically, the Catcherman is 1.8 and I believe the Bug is 1.75 mm. So those are the thinnest currently being sold in SFO. But those being sold in retailers, 2mm is the thinnest.

I'm surprised you haven't just had one reground? That sounds like a fairly easy thing to accomplish. I would've sent out that beautiful custom Stretch you've posted pics of and had it thinned out to your liking.

I'd say 'hawkbill-ish' - to me it's seemed to have more of a wharney flavor- I hope I can shoot and post that design at the upcoming Amsterdam Meet. It wasn't one of the knives they wanted to unveil before my camera at SHOT.

Sure looks like it. The fact that it was sitting next to the prototype "pikal" fixed blade makes me wonder if we'll see it soon or not. I've been waiting to see the Pygmy Warrior in the wild for a little while now. Early estimates had it arriving for sale last summer, but the sheath can't be easy on this one. Hopefully it'll be soon, but from the couple of threads regarding knives at SHOT show, it looks like they're very busy.
